 Lessons for Children

Children as young as five can benefit greatly from learning to play an instrument. Beginner lessons are full of games and songs that lead into playing by rote and from notation. More advanced pupils learn about rhythm, meter, keys, and musical expression through playing, singing, and often improvising or even composing.

Lessons are ideally between 40 and 60 minutes depending on age and ability.

A regular practice routine and parental/carer support is vital in helping children and I am always glad to discuss this in further detail. Parents are regularly given tips to help with the practice routine.
